Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Great Breakfast Idea! 

So as you probably know everyone is obsessing over going out and grabbing an Acia bowl for brekkie. But i have started to make my own at home! Not only are they cheeper but you can customise your own flavour and top it with whatever you like and its so easy!

What you will need:

  1. Bananas lost of bananas
  2. Your choice of Fruit
  3. Coconut water
  4. Optional supper booster eg; goji berries, coconut, oats, chia seeds, nuts etc.
  5. Toppings – your favourite Fruits and Super boosters.


What to do:

Step one: Un peel bananas and chop them in halves put them into a freezer bag and freeze over night. You can have as many bananas as you like i usually freeze a whole bunch so i have more to use later on.

Step Two: Use 4 Halves of your frozen bananas (or two whole bananas) slice the frozen banana and place them into a blender.

Step Three: Add your chosen fruit (this will be your smoothie bowl flavour)  you can use fresh fruit but its even better to freeze your fruit e.g. acia berries, blueberries, mango, passionfruit, pineapple.  (Try to not use packaged fruit)

Step Four: Once you have added your fruit you can get creative and add some super boosters in (chia seeds, coconut, oats) Chia or Coconut is my favourite But sometimes i will skip this step and just have toppings.

Step Five: Add coconut water to the blender since you have hard frozen fruit add a lot to make sure you don’t over heat your blender, and then Blend.  (make sure you don’t make it to runny)

Step Six: Once all the fruit is blended and you have a nice texture place the smoothie into a bowl and add your extra fruit as toppings. Don’t be afraid to get creative with different flavours! And there you have it!

Quick Tip: This recipe will serve 2 or more depending on how much fruit you have used. I normally have a lot of  smoothie mix left over and will refreeze the mix for another time. When i go to use a frozen mix i just chop the mix into chunks and add coconut water and blend. I even may add more fruit to the mix to change up the flavour!

  13. Fresh kiwi
